Almost all the students supported by Prerana are first generation college goers in their family. Many parents who accompany their kids to Prerana workshops express a sense of both pride & loss at the same time, as they could not get such support during their childhood!
Scholarship normally means financial support to pay the fees. At Prerana, it’s much more than finance! It’s a generational transformation from college education to corporate career. Students earn their Scholarship by their performance in Skill Development programs.
Even if some of these students are deprived of employment due to societal pressures, they are always employable when the situation warrants.
